Video Shown Iranian Shi’ites Threaten To Overthrow Buhari Over ElZakzaky

In one video, a group of Iranians was threatening to overthrow the government of President Muhammadfu Buhari in order to secure the release of Ibrahim El-Zakzaky, leader of the Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMN).

Their leader, Zakyzaky has been in detention since December 2015 when his followers clashed with some soldiers in Zaria, Kaduna state.

The sect members have held a series of protests to demand his release but the government refused even when a federal high court, Abuja, granted him bail.

In a video obtained by TheCable, protesters with different placards chanted “Free free Zakzaky”. A man, who appeared like the leader of the protesters, criticised the federal government over the continued detention of leader.

“The judge of Nigeria ordered that Zakzaky and his members to be freed but the government didn’t listen to that and so we are calling on them to free Zakzaky,” he said.

“The government of Nigeria should know that it cannot keep Zakzaky forever in the detention and in jail, In Sha Allah, by overthrowing the tyrannical government, we will free Zakzaky and teach Nigeria and its people a good lesson.”

Nigerian Labour Suspends Strike As FG Reportedly Agrees To Pay N30,000

Nigerian Labour Suspends Today’s Nationwide Strike As FG Agrees To Pay N30,000

The nationwide strike scheduled to commence on Tuesday, November 6, 2018 by the organised labour union in Nigeria has called off.

According to Vanguardtr Newspaper, the Tripartite Committee set up by the Federal Government agreed on N30,000 new minimum wage.

It was gathered that at the end of the first meeting of the tripartite committee set up to arrive at an agreeable minimum wage template, Chairperson of the committee and former Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Ms Ama People had said while the federal government insisted on N24,000, organized labour maintained its earlier stance of N30, 000.

She however said the government pleaded with labour to call off its planned.

“We have concluded and we have a little challenge with what we call Chapter 5 of our report, that is where we have the numbers and the figures we used for the negotiations and the figures that we concluded with and the committee has two figures: the N24, 000 suggested by the federal government and the N30, 000 given by the organized labour.

“There is no stalemate. We have finished and we have signed it but we are insisting that the strike must be called off. There are still two figures, N24, 000 and N34, 000. You know that labour came up with a figure of N66, 500 but when we put all that together with the figure we got from the states…so, we put all that in a basket plus the initial figure that the federal government recommended which was N20, 700. We put them together in a basket and came up with four scenarios, we worked with one of the scenarios and that was how we agreed on that N24, 000 and N30, 000 respectively”, said Ms People.

Also speaking, Ayuba Wabba, president of the Nigeria Labour Congress (NLC), told reporters that the decision to suspend the industrial action was reached after agreements were reached and documents signed.

“Having reached this position and agreements signed, the proposed strike action is hereby suspended,” he said.
