The internet is goofing on Toke Makinwa’s “Able God” tweet at Ebuka

In what looks like a seemingly innocuous tweet, Makinwa revealed that she had been hearing Ebuka in Chinko Ekun’s Able God, a 2018 song from the rapper featuring Zlatan and Lil Kesh. Also, and quite disastrously, she tagged fellow media personality Ebuka Obi Uchendu in the tweet.

Although Ebuka tersely replied with “Hian,” the tweet has been a fodder for internet jokes, memes and gifs.

This isn’t the first time Makinwa’s online comments has made buzzy headlines. In June, she tweeted that chivalry isn’t dead and whenever she’s out, a man has offered to pay her bills. And in August, Makinwa did a photoshoot to advertise her (lightening) skincare line Glow, and the internet excoriated her for being, well, naked. And also because it was reinforcing the harmful idea that light skin was better.

‘You Can Give Your House As Cattle Colony, Not Yorubaland’ – Afenifere To Tinubu

Tinubu had while speaking at The Nation/TVC seminar in Abuja, said the “Unoccupied, isolated land can quickly be turned into grazing areas in the affected states,” as the herdsmen terror being witnessed across the country was a fallout of water scarcity.

Afenifere, while decrying Tinubu’s position in a statement titled: “We Reject Tinubu’s Miyetti Allah’s Choice,” issued by its spokesperson, Mr Yinka Odumakin, said it totally rejected this position, describing it as very backward in modern time and contrary to the consensus of all peace-loving Nigerians that what the country needed to solve the herdsmen siege on farmers was to have ranches.

Afenifere, however, said Tinubu was free to play his politics the way it suited him but warned that he should tread softly in playing games with the lives of Nigerians by making outlandish propositions on issues on which positions had been settled.

“The attention of Afenifere has been drawn to the statement credited to former Lagos governor, Senator Bola Ahmed Tinubu, that the herdsmen’s terror being witnessed across the country is a fallout of water scarcity and that the country should “convert unused land to grazing reserves.”

Kanu have sold Papilla fc

Onyebuchi Abia, Kanu’s manager, has publicly confirmed that Kanu no longer owns the Nigeria National League (NNL) side, Papilla fc.

Kanu was said to have been frustrated that the team don’t perform and decided to sell the team.

Abia said Kanu will divert his finances to his youth football academy.

“Yes, I can confirm to you that he has sold Papilo FC,” Abia said in a telephone conversation.

“His plans now is to channel his finances on his pet project, the Kanu Academy, which he adores as a future project.

“He does not want to be drawn into the stories that teams that win in the league are teams that spend money and not the best teams.

“Kanu is a major stakeholder in Nigerian football and desires all that’s positive for Nigerian football.”
