In what looks like a seemingly innocuous tweet, Makinwa revealed that she had been hearing Ebuka in Chinko Ekun’s Able God, a 2018 song from the rapper featuring Zlatan and Lil Kesh. Also, and quite disastrously, she tagged fellow media personality Ebuka Obi Uchendu in the tweet.
I only just found it it’s “Able God” I’m I the only one who hears “Ebuka” instead @Ebuka

Although Ebuka tersely replied with “Hian,” the tweet has been a fodder for internet jokes, memes and gifs.
When it’s people’s husbands she thinks of, why won’t it sound like “Ebuka”? Thank God she didn’t say “2Face.

Subconsciously I’ve been trying to replace ‘able god’ with ‘ebuka ‘ since yesterday ……

That ‘Able God’ = ‘Ebuka’ dodo that Toke Makinwa fried today is still giving me headache

This isn’t the first time Makinwa’s online comments has made buzzy headlines. In June, she tweeted that chivalry isn’t dead and whenever she’s out, a man has offered to pay her bills. And in August, Makinwa did a photoshoot to advertise her (lightening) skincare line Glow, and the internet excoriated her for being, well, naked. And also because it was reinforcing the harmful idea that light skin was better.
