The kind of AdSense on Youtube is so-called Hosted AdSense-Account. Such an account type is for being used on the connected page (e.g., youtube.com) only. Also, there are other types of hosted AdSense accounts, like blogger.com, but running ads on your own domain is not covered by it.

Add your domain to the AdSense account used for websites

You should know that when you have AdSense working as a hosted account for ads on YouTube, you would still need to get a non-hosted account for your website.

This does not mean that you should  get a new account. What you need is just adding your own domain to the AdSense account.

Follow the following 5 steps:

1. Log in to your AdSense account

2. Then Click on My ads in the navigation

3. Then Click on Other products

4. Next is to Click on Upgrade now and fill in the form

5. Then Implement an ad code like the one for Auto ads into your site.

You should know that your site will be reviewed by AdSense team, which can take a few days. Before, you do this, ensure you follow their content guidelines and program policies. And make sure you have like atleast 15-20 posts already in your website.

However, if your account is not approved, do not panic as this will not affect your Youtube Adsense earnings just keep on working on your site .
