1.) Don Waney reportedly embraced the amnesty programme of Governor Nyesom Wike in 2016 when he laid down his arms and military uniforms but not all as he still terrorrised Omuku till his death.
2.) He was also the leader of the notorious Islanders Cult responsible for beheadings.
3.) The slain militant was to be recognised as the Paramount Ruler of Aligwu by Wike until he met his waterloo after being linked with the killing of worshipers on New Year’s day.
4.) His mansion at Omoku was raided by the Army in November 2017 and ten human heads and decomposing bodies were found.
5.) Lastly, he was allegedly perfecting plans to carry out another attack on Omoku before he was felled by bullets from the Nigerian security agents.
