Lionel Messi Has No Life, He Lives In A Golden Cage – Ex-Footballer, Osvaldo Explodes

A former football star, Osvaldo has explained that he does not want to be like Lionel Messi because he “has no life”.

Dani Osvaldo, a former Italy striker says he wouldn’t want to be like Lionel Messi after explaining his decision to retire

According to Goal, Osvaldo opened up on his retirement from football and says he wouldn’t want to have a life like Barcelona and Argentina star Lionel Messi.

The former Boca Juniors, Juventus and Roma forward decided to retire in 2016 and pursue a career in rock music, claiming that ‘the world of football was no longer for him.’

And after explaining his choice to retire at such a young age, Osvaldo has now claimed that he would not like to have the same life as Lionel Messi.

“Would I like to be like Messi? No. I’d like to play like him, but he has no life. It’s as if he lives in a golden prison,” he told Marca.

“He couldn’t go somewhere and quietly drink something. Maybe he doesn’t care about it, but I do.

“I imagine him buying the biggest TV in the world, but then he’s never in his living room to use it.

“Failing that, he probably drives a Ferrari, knowing he lives 15 minutes away from the Barcelona’s training ground…”

A lot of Osvaldo’s football career will be remembered for a number of controversial incidents with fellow teammates and coaches.

During his time with Southampton in 2014, the striker faced a three-match ban and a hefty fine after a touchline bust up during a match against Newcastle. Weeks later he was given a two-week suspension after headbutting Jose Fonte at the club’s training ground.

Following his retirement, the Buenos-Aires born man formed a band called Barrio Viejo in Barcelona, along with some musicians he met during his time playing for Espanyol.

Osvaldo, 32, won the Serie A title with Juventus in 2014 whilst on loan from Southampton.

FIFA Moves Closer Toward Reintroducing Agent Licences

FIFA Moves Closer Toward Reintroducing Agent Licences

World football governing body FIFA is set to reintroduce licences for player agents and has adopted, in principle, a limit on player loans.

FIFA’s ‘Football Stakeholders Committee’ approved “the introduction of licences and exams for agents” at a meeting in London, according to a source close to the discussions.

The governing body of world football did away with agent licences in 2015.

While the committee, chaired by the Canadian Victor Montagliani, the Canadian head of CONCACAF, approved a limit on player loans, they could not agree a number.

FIFA had proposed a maximum of six loans per club as part of plans to reduce the stockpiling of players by leading clubs.

The committee also agreed to the creation of a clearing house, managed by a bank, to handle the solidarity payments from transfer fees due to clubs that trained players in their youth systems.

The committee was voting on proposals prepared by a five-member “task force” chaired by Montagliani and made up of representatives of UEFA, the European Club Association (ECA), the professional players union FiFPro, and the World Leagues Forum (WLF).

The recommendations are expected to be ratified at the next FIFA Council meeting in Kigali, Rwanda, on October 25-26.

Check Out Inside Real Madrid’s Luxury Jet With Beds, Showers And 2500 TV Channels (Photos)

With the Champions League underway, the world’s top clubs will be clocking up their air miles as they travel around Europe.

And if you’re one of Real Madrid’s star players , you’ll be lucky enough to fly in a luxury Emirates A380 jet worth a cool £340m.

That’s right, Gareth Bale, Marcelo, Sergio Ramos and Co. get to travel in style thanks to Los Blancos’ mega sponsorship deal with Fly Emirates.

Not only does Julen Lopetegui’s side pocket around £62m a year in that exchange, they’re treated like kings on away days in their double-decker aircraft.

First off, inside the plane each player has got use of their own private shower – so there’s no need for communal showers for these stars.

Then, should they want, they have the option of resting in a fully-functioning bar area with plenty of room to swing a dozen cats in.

Each player has his own tablet, 2,500 channels to watch, an alcohol-free mini bar and a wash basin in front of their screen

If that’s not enough for these pampered athletes, the Galacticos also have their own bed to sleep in, which comes with several other cool perks.

There’s a personalised tablet that allows you to access 2,500 channels, an alcohol-free mini bar, as well as a small wash cabinet.

Does that mean they’re the cleanest club in the world?

Real Madrid’s stars have no excuses for not looking their best on away days

Who knows? But what else would you expect from the best team in the world at the moment? Of course they’re going to have their own bespoke plane.

And when they land at any airport, they’ll hardly be inconspicuous on arrival with the players faces adorned on the aircraft’s paintwork.

Fly Emirates have sponsored Real since signing a sponsorship deal in 2013.

And with comfy seats like these, they certainly wont suffer fatigue

They’ve had their brand plastered across the famous white jerseys in three Champions League wins.

They have similar deals with Arsenal and PSG, who also have use of their Airbus A380.

Players can get comfy in the private shower rooms

And the plane itself is a four-engine jet that has become something of a staple since making its first flight in 2005.

It provides seating for 525 passengers, has a design range of 8,500 nautical miles and a cruising speed of around 559 miles per hour.

Simply put, they have no excuses for being late for a game.

While, they definitely won’t be able to blame fatigue if/when they suffer their next defeat.

The Galacticos have had use of the most luxurious plane Fly Emirates offer since inking a sponsorship with the airline in 2013

PDP Demands Resignation Of INEC Chairman & Buhari’s Sister Who’s Director Of Operations

The PDP has demanded the immediate resignation of the Chairman of INEC, Prof Mahmood Yakubu, following what it called his alleged controlling role in the “fraudulent manipulations” that it said characterised the September 22 governorship election in Osun State.

Also, the PDP called for the resignation of the commission’s Director of Operations, Mrs Amina Zakari, who is related to President Buhari.
Zakari is in charge of the Information and Communications Technology Department, where the PDP alleged that the election results were altered to favour the APC.

The National Publicity Secretary of the party, Mr Kola Ologbondiyan, made the demands in Abuja on Tuesday at a press conference, which was held at the PDP national secretariat.

He said, “It is completely inexcusable that Prof Yakubu presides over an atrocious and compromised electoral umpire that manipulates electoral processes, doctors figures, allocates fictitious votes and subverts the will of the people in an election.

“The PDP has additional documentary evidence of how this compromised INEC, through its Operations and ICT Department, doctored results from polling centres, directly shortchanged the PDP with no fewer than 4,387 votes by slashing votes cast for the PDP at the polling centres while allocating fictitious figures to the APC.

“The PDP has facts on how INEC slashed over 1,000 votes freely cast by the people for our candidate, Senator Ademola Adeleke, in Ayedaade Local Government Area, just to reduce our votes from our legitimate 10,836 votes cast at the polling centres to 9,836 votes so as to give APC the lead with a 1,000 vote margin in the local government.

“Also, the PDP has evidence of how INEC, while collating results, directly allocated over 1,367 fictitious votes to the APC in Olorunda Local Government Area, to fraudulently shore up the APC votes to duplicitous 16,254 votes.

“This is in addition to evidence of how INEC awarded over 2,000 fictitious votes in favour of the APC in Oshogbo to push APC’s vote to 23,379 against the actual 21,479 votes scored by the defeated party.”

Ologbondiyan added that the alleged writing of results by INEC in collusion with the APC occurred in many other areas, which he said led to INEC’s ill-fated directives to its junior officials, including the one apprehended in Ayedaade, to destroy results already displayed at polling and collation centres.

He added, “It was after INEC and the APC realised that despite their manipulation of figures, our candidate still scored the highest number of votes, making him the clear winner of the election, that they decided to fraudulently apply unconstitutional grounds to declare the election inconclusive.

“From the facts available to us, INEC robbed our party of over 4,387 votes. Our actual winning margin stands at 4,740 votes against the 353 votes declared by INEC.”

Ologbondiyan said the PDP had also discovered schemes perfected by INEC to rig its planned supplementary election in favour of the APC.

“The PDP is already aware that INEC has increased the original number of voters in the affected polling centres by over 850 so as to expand its latitude to manipulate results with uncollected Permanent Voter Cards, a development, which further shows INEC’s determination to rig the election for the APC.”

He added, “While Prof. Mahmood Yakubu can no longer be trusted to conduct the 2019 general election, it is public knowledge that Mrs Amina Zakari, the INEC Director in charge of Operations and ICT, is a direct blood relation of Mr President and as such, we believe that she cannot be an impartial arbiter in an election involving her uncle.”

David Luiz: Chelsea, too slow against Westham

Chelsea defender David Luiz said his club failed to maintain their winning streak against West Ham at the weekend because they did not use the ball quickly enough.

Maurizio Sarri’s men left Liverpool as the sole remaining Premier League side with a 100 per cent record due to a scoreless draw at West Ham, after the Reds had previously overcome Southampton at home.
The Stamford Bridge side are now two points adrift of the league leaders, but Luiz is still confident in what is being implemented by the former Napoli boss.
“Of course we are disappointed,” the Brazil international told his club’s official website. “We didn’t play a fantastic game, we didn’t create a lot. It was too slow, moving the ball to create the gaps or our movements without the ball, and that is why we couldn’t score.
“I think our plan is fantastic. On Sunday we didn’t play at our high level so that is why we didn’t win.
“We know that many teams now are going to play against us this way, with a low block and trying to play on the counter-attack, so there was not a lot of space but it is up to us to try to find a solution.”
On Saturday, Chelsea will have the opportunity to leapfrog Jurgen Klopp’s side as they meet in the Premier League – an occasion the 31-year-old defender is looking forward to, though only after a midweek dress rehearsal against the Reds in the Carabao Cup.
“The best games are like that,” he said. “We are going to play against a fantastic team so we need to rest and be ready for both games.”
The weekend’s slip up was the first time since Sarri took charge that Chelsea have failed to win a competitive match, having also defeated PAOK 1-0 in the Europa League.
Following their double header against Liverpool, Chelsea will tackle Videoton in Europe and will then go to Southampton in the league before the second international break of the season.
